Rubber Gun Rubble

A 2D action platformer where players need to gauge their trigger fingers to destroy the obstacles in their path while being careful to not create too many themselves as their bullets are able to bounce right back and hit them if they're not careful

This was an exercise in solo development, utilizing free graphical assets to create a game utilizing Unity's built in tilemap system. I created everything but the graphics, the bouncing bullets system especially.

For my first proper game I had a relatively easy time figuring out what to do in terms of mechanics and overall design. I came up with the bouncing bullets mechanic almost immediately and wanted to see what I could do with it given the time frame. It was a big learning experience for me figuring out just how to get Unity to work for me and I think for my first steps it was a big success!
