This was a solo project and thus, doesn't have any impressive visuals to go alongside, but this meant I had the ability to focus more on the coding of the game on a more technical level.

The main challenge here was developing the monster's AI, as it was the primary focus of the game I had to make sure it had as much depth as necessary to keep it engaging. The monster will randomly choose a "favorite" location of the set of hexagons that it will generally visit more often than the others, and then after a randomized set of time when the night starts, will try to break in through them, causing damage over time and eventually leaving after a short time frame if the player is unable to locate and shoo them away with burning incense. Alongside this the player has to manage 3 separate mechanics that each provide different boons for them that they can lose access to if not properly managed. The dream catcher weakens the monster's ability to break in, the generator powers the house and allows for certain visual cues to play to make the player aware of the monster's location, and the fireplace is lit to prevent the monster from coming in through the chimney, which is significantly less defensible.
